Ombudsman of the European Union is institution which protect the rights and interests of all citizens of the European Union, where citizens can turn in case of violation of their rights, and all natural and legal persons having their residence or registered office in a Member State. He is independent and impartial in their work, and appointed by the European Parliament. In addition to the Ombudsman EU we have several kinds of ombudsmen, namely: parliamentary and executive, national, local and international, monocratic and collegial, and general and specific. The essential features of these institutions emphasize the importance of a person / individual in relation to the institutions and bodies of the European Union in the event that there is a "bad governance", which means that an institution fails to act in accordance with the law or does not respect the principles of good administration, or violates human rights. Complaints to the European Ombudsman shall be filed within two years from the date when it was learned that happened to poor management.
