The subject of this diploma paper is taxing real estate transfer. The basic aim of the paper is to analyze the existing system of taxation of real estate transfer in the Republic of Croatia, i.e.. analysis of tax forms applied to the taxation of real estate transfer (real estate transfer tax, value added tax, the tax on income from property and proprietary rights).The survey was conducted on the basis of current tax regulations. Scientific literature such as books, jornals and various Internet sources as well as relevant laws and by-laws were used as main data sources during the preparation of this paper.The paper is divided into five interconnected parts. The first chapter, i.e. introduction, defines the problems, the subject of the paper and goals to be achieved. The following chapters bring an overview of tax forms with their specific characteristics, to which the real estate transfer is the object of taxation. The fifth, i.e. final chapter, presentsthe conclusion and review on the paper as a whole.The tax system of the Republic of Croatia consists of several legal regulations which, each in its field, regulate the taxation of real estate transfer. In addition to tax regulationssome other special regulations are also applied in this field. The situation is further complicated by application of many exemptions and exclusions to the existing regulations what, generally speaking, does not contribute to the transparency of the tax system of the Republic of Croatia.
