In this paper, the author tries to present the most relevant events that directly or indirectly influenced the adoption of the Magna Carta, with special reference to the documents of the Charter of Liberties from 1100; Document ceding England to the Pope in 1213, Unknown Charter of Freedoms; and Baron's Articles; and other important medieval documents, the existence of which followed the enactment of the Magna Carta. Based on the professional literature of several authors of Magna Carta, in the central part of this thesis, special attention is paid to content analysis, its historical and political significance, and bearing in mind its significance in the European context, we can consider it as a document on which the beginnings of European constitutionality is based on and as a document on which the protection of human rights is based (although it does not represent the protection of lower class rights). According to the majority of autors of professional/expert literature and various sources, we can say that the Magna Carta actually represents an agreement between the king and the barons. The impact of the adoption of the Magna Carta had repercussions on the adoption of similar documents in our areas, so the final part of this thesis analyses the comparison of the adoption of the Magna Carta with the issuance of the act "Bula aurea" (Golden Bull), by Andrew II. Arpadović (reigned 1205-1235), which was issued after a series of economic and military reforms by Andrew II. attempted to impose during his reign.
