Child is a very broad term that refers to a man from the time of his birth to the end of his youth. Also, children are the most vulnerable group in society, who unfortunately often experience some kind of violence by adults. Work for which children are not ready, ie work for which they are not prepared and mature enough on a physical and mental level, is prohibited by various laws, ie acts and norms in the field of international, as well as domestic labor and social law. Child labor is being effectively disabled on a global scale.The main cause of child labor is poverty. Most studies in developing countries show that poor families are more likely to put their children in child labor than families in a better economic situation. Child labor has many negative consequences, and one of them is the risk of interrupting formal education due to lack of time. Also, child labor affects the social development of the child as they do not have enough time to spend time with their peers and with the family. The paper provides an overview of the concept of child labor, analyzes the experiences of Europe and the world, and presents the work of international organizations that are crucial in the fight against child labor. The goal of all international organizations is to eradicate child labor by 2025, but unfortunately the deadline is shifted every year, which means that the fight is unsuccessful in most countries.
