The subject of this paper is to show how diverse representation in legal proceedings can be and also what possibilities exist in representation in front of state bodies in Republic of Croatia. The possibility of representation regardless if they are people or companys is a peak of civilization right regarding the fact that it was developed over time with a exponential growth. That rule applys to the person that is representing but also for the person that is being represented. This paper begins with a historical overview how representation started through the sphere of legal representation. After that the paper covers the teoretical decision between mandatory representation and the right to self represent in proceedings. Second part of this paper covers the form of representation for the state itself through the institution of State attorney. Also covered is the right of state to represent itself at home and abroad. This part finishes with the right of the state to represent towards foreigners. Third part works with some specific category of people that are represented so it coveres the most vunerable group – children and the conomocly most important one which are companys. The papre finishes with a conclusion on this topi cin which a summary and expecatation is given with the future of representation in proceedings.
