The final paper on the topic "Storage and archiving of files" deals with the procedure of receiving files or documents, their storage in the archives until the moment of handing over the file to the competent state archive after the expiration of the storage period. Every public body, legal or a physical person and private person has archival material and is obliged to manage it. The organizational units of the registry office and archive, are responsible for the management of files. The office performs the tasks of receiving, opening and reviewing documents, their processing and classification, delivery to work, proper administrative and technical processing of documents, their dispatch within the deadline and preparation for document storage. The collection, processing and storage of materials, their arrangement and processing, the issuing of materials for use, and the extraction and delivery of archival materials to the Croatian State Archives are carried out in the library. With the improvement of technology, there is a shift from physical archiving of files to digital, where archival material remains permanently accessible and protected. This is achieved by regular synchronization and backup. From 1.1.2023. a complete transition to office business information systems is planned.
