Since the beginning of time, there have been numerous records of the existence of the magical world, magical creatures, evil and good fairies, werewolves, witches and vampires. These creatures with supernatural powers have been of great interest to people since ancient times. At the same time, they arouse interest, but also fear of the unknown. In that world of magical beings, people dealt with witches the most. Mostly women, beautiful or ugly, young or old, were accused of practicing witchcraft. Witches were believed to be women who made a contract with the devil himself in order to gain special powers with which to do harm and evil to other people or animals. They could fly on a broom, transform into another being, heal people or make them sick with their witchcraft, influence weather changes, cause drought or hail, storm and thunder. In order to put an end to their crimes, a witch hunt began. That dark age was marked by the persecution of women who faced the most serious accusations and the most inhuman court proceedings accompanied by persecution and torture, from which hardly any woman escaped alive. Fortunately, the beginning of the 18th century marked the end of the monstrous witch hunts.
