The subject of this paper is to analyze the impact of regulatory mechanisms of control in money laundering and terrorist financing to change the structure of the global banking system. Money laundering is defined as the legalization of income from illegal sources or criminal offense, running to get as legally acquired income on which to pay taxes voluntarily. Money laundering and terrorist financing is closely related because in most cases the money resulting from this procedure financed terrorist activities. A comprehensive and effective system of prevention of money laundering is essential for monitoring the financial activities of terrorist groups. Empirical analysists have attempted to determine the relative and absolute numbers of laundered money. The paper will show regulatory measures, the most significant acts and institutions specializing in the prevention of money laundering and financing of money, and the area of their application at the global level, primarily in the US and in the EU. You will see the impact of these measures on the organization of the banking system of individual banks, and the impact of new regulatory measures on offshore banking zones that were exempt from control, which is worth banking secrecy and institute a secret account. Which means that these regulatory measures are results of pressure from big countries like Russia and the United States that the money is engaged primarily: to finance the production, to prevent tax evasion and the expansion of multinational companies. Prevention and elimination of money laundering is not only the fight against crime, but also an attempt to preserve the integrity of the financial system, financial institutions in general, and the legality of doing business. In this theoretical analysis, scientific researchers will use scientific and technical literature of domestic and foreign authors, and other scientific articles from websites that are related to the issues of this research. Empirical data will be analytically recovered in the secondary form of already performed analyses of individual institutions.
