This paper deals with the basic terms of criminal offenses against property and the issues of interpretation of these criminal offences. Special attention is paid to judical practice, which sets standards in specific cases in different situations. By analyzing the decisions of the courts, the differences between individual criminal offenses are considered. These criminal acts, as well as others, are prescribed by the provisions of the Penal Code with the determination of the punishment for perpetrators in basic and qualified forms. The paper states the provisions of the current Criminal Code in comparasion with older provisions, i.e. their similarities and differences. Through the work, it will be possible to see what is a threat to man`s property and his property. An additional interesting part of work will be the merging of the general and special part of the Criminal Code. Criminal offenses against property are described in a special part of law, and by including the provisions from the general offenses, some important concepts will come to fore. All these criminal offenses share the concept of property. It is a legal and economic term that is the material basis of the ownership category. Property means a legal asset and a human right guaranteed by the Constitution.
