This paper contains topics in the field of public procurement, e.g. procurement procedures considering procuring goods, works or services, and the obligors of their application defined by the regulation of the Public Procurement Act (Official Gazette 120/16), Secondary Legislation adopted and based on the said Act and simple procurement of goods, works and services regulated by a Simple Procurement Rulebooks adopted by the the contracting authority. The paper emphasizes the procurement in the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices as a contracting authority obligated to apply the said Law. The application of the provisions of simple, e.g. public procurement procedure of small or large value is determined by the prescribed value thresholds specified in the Public Procurement Act and the regulations of the Commission of the European Union. The procurement process consists of a series of individual parts that can be divided into three basic segments: 1. Preparation of the procurement procedure - part of the process that the contracting authority must undertake for each procurement to be planned, approved and prepared by the next stage, ie to be able to request the submission of tenders from economic operators; 2. Implementation of the procurement procedure - a process in which the contracting authority, based on the set conditions, selects the most suitable economic entity for the delivery of goods, performance of works or provision of services; 3. Contract management - the last stage of the process in which the contracting authority and the selected tenderer / economic operator fulfil the established and assumed mutual obligations.
