Abstract
Općenito se razmatraju okolnosti koje su dovele do sklapanja Općeg okvirnog sporazuma za mir u Bosni i Hercegovini ili tzv. Daytonskog sporazuma, potpisanog u Parizu 14. prosinca 1995. godine kojim je službeno okončan rat u Bosni i Hercegovini koji je trajao od 1992. do 1995. godine. Posebice se razmatraju oružani sukobi u Hrvatskoj i Bosni i Hercegovini te intenzivni diplomatski napori međunarodne zajednice koji su potom uslijedili. Poseban naglasak se stavlja na sam tijek pregovora u Daytonu i nastojanja uglavnom američkih pregovarača da se usuglase zahtjevi i prijedlozi hrvatske, bošnjačke i srpske strane te dođe do prihvatljivih tješenja u pogledu teritorijalnih pitanja te državno-pravnog uređenja Bosne i Hercegovine kao zajednice triju naroda.
Abstract (english)
The circumstances that lead to creation of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina aka Dayton Agrement, signed on 14 December in Paris by which the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina lasting from 1992 to 1995 officially ended, are generally considered. Esspecially considered were armed conflicts in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and the following intensive diplomatic efforts made by the international community. Special emphasis was put on the development of the Dayton negotiations and efforts made by predominantly american negotiators to reconcile request and initiatives of Croatian, Bosnik and Serb parties in order to find acceptable solutions regardring territorial issus as well as the government and political structure of Bosnia and Herzetovina consisting of three nations.
