An attempt represents an attack onto the estate protected by the Criminal Law with the aim to harm/change the object of the attack. The omission of the consequence defines the attempt as a socially dangerous activity without results. The partial relaziation of the criminal offence done during the attack onto the protected estate is the essence of the attempt. As the beginning of commiting the criminal offence we take into consideration fixing the boundaries between preparatory deeds and the attempt. It all starts with the idea, then the plan turns into the decision, and in the end comes the detailed programme of the attack. Nobody is responsible for all the thoughts left in mind as well as for the intentions of committing a criminal offence, and it is necessary for the committer not to have done the first step towards the accomplishment of the deed in the outside world. The perpetrator who tried to commit a criminal offence will be punished as if he had done it completelly, but he might be midly punished depending on the fact how close the perpetrator came to the termination, which is the degree of the danger of his deeds and how willing is he to commit the criminal offence. The two main methods used in this work are the historic method, that is observing this problem in the course of history, and the empiric one which includes everything regulated by the law, taking it from the juridically aspect.
