The topic of this master's thesis is the selection and the way the representatives of the Republic of Croatia work in the European Parliament (abbreviated to EP). The introduction contains some basic information on the history of the EP, its position and its role within the institutional framework of the European Union (abbreviated to EU). The structure of the EP was presented, the way it works, and the way the MPs are elected. Emphasis is put on the procedure for the election of the representatives from the Republic of Croatia (abbreviated to RH) in the EP. The first mandate of the MPs from Croatia was briefly presented, because it lasted for only a year. The second mandate, which is in progress and runs until 2019, is the main topic of this paper and has been elaborated in more details. It starts with the election results, the names of MPs and their political affiliation, both national and within the EP. This way we can find the most basic information about each representative which is published on web pages of the EP. Also, information about their position in relation to the club representatives, their activities and work in the committees and in delegations. All these activities have a meaning in making decisions that have an impact on the lives of the citizens of the Republic of Croatia, who are at the same time the citizens of the EU.
