Abstract
Ovaj rad analizira pravo djeteta na obrazovanje, s posebnim naglaskom na primjenu ovog prava u Republici Hrvatskoj. Pravo na obrazovanje jedno je od temeljnih ljudskih prava koje omogućuje djeci da razviju svoje osobne talente, intelektualne sposobnosti i moralne vrijednosti. Kroz rad se analiziraju međunarodni dokumenti koji jamče pravo na obrazovanje, uključujući UN-ovu Konvenciju o pravima djeteta te se analizira kako se ovo pravo djece ostvaruje unutar hrvatskog obrazovnog sustava. Posebna pozornost posvećena je izazovima s kojima se suočavaju djeca iz ranjivih skupina, kao što su djeca s teškoćama u razvoju, djeca iz ruralnih područja i pripadnici nacionalnih manjina. Rad također uključuje pregled izvješća pravobraniteljice za djecu koja prikazuju kontinuirane probleme i preporuke za unaprjeđenje obrazovnog sustava. Zaključno, rad naglašava važnost sustavnih promjena i bolje podrške kako bi se osiguralo da svako dijete ima pristup kvalitetnom obrazovanju.
Abstract (english)
This paper analyzes the child's right to education, with special emphasis on the application of this right in the Republic of Croatia. The right to education is one of the fundamental human rights that enables children to develop their personal talents, intellectual abilities and moral values. The paper examines international documents that ensure the right to education, including the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and analyzes how this right is implemented within the Croatian education system. Special attention is paid to the challenges faced by children from vulnerable groups, such as children with developmental disabilities, children from rural areas and members of national minorities. The paper also includes a review of reports by the attorney general for children that show continuing problems and recommendations for improving the education system. In conclusion, the paper highlights the importance of systemic change and better support to ensure that every child has access to quality education.
