Abstract
Ovaj diplomski rad bavi se temom nasilja nad osobama starije životne dobi, koja predstavlja ozbiljan društveni problem s dalekosežnim posljedicama za pojedince i zajednicu. Rad obuhvaća analizu različitih oblika nasilja, uključujući fizičko, psihičko, financijsko, seksualno, kao i zanemarivanje, nasilje u obitelji i institucijama, etičke dileme i posljedice nasilja te ulogu socijalnih radnika. Cilj diplomskog rada je dublje razumijevanje problema nasilja nad osobama starije životne dobi s fokusom na pravne, socijalne i etičke aspekte. Nasilje nad starijim osobama često ostaje neprepoznato i neprijavljeno, zbog čega je nužno posvetiti posebnu pažnju identifikaciji i prevenciji ovog problema.
Abstract (english)
This thesis addresses the topic of violence against the elderly, which represents a serious social problem with far-reaching consequences for individuals and the community. The paper includes an analysis of various forms of violence, including physical, psychological, financial, sexual, as well as neglect, domestic and institutional violence, ethical dilemmas, and the consequences of violence, as well as the role of social workers. The aim of the thesis is to gain a deeper understanding of the issue of violence against the elderly, with a focus on legal, social, and ethical aspects. Violence against the elderly often goes unrecognized and unreported, making it essential to pay special attention to the identification and prevention of this issue.
