Abstract
Prvi svjetski rat predstavlja veliku prekretnicu u borbi žena za svoja prava. Iako ne izravno, rat je kroz brojne događaje promijenio ulogu žene u društvu. Žene su dobile mogućnost sudjelovanja kako u društvenom životu, tako i u vojnim pothvatima, a najbitnije od svega žene su dobile mogućnost zaposlenja na onim radnim mjestima na kojima im do tada nije pružena priliku za rad jer su ta zanimanja bila isključivo rezervirana za muškarce. Žene se počinju pronalaziti i u vojnim zanimanjima, zavisno od mogućnosti u pojedinim državama. Zavisno o stupnju razvijenosti pojedinog društva tog vremena žene polako preuzimaju vodeću ulogu kako u svojim domaćinstvima tako i u održavanju ravnoteže u gospodarstvu, a kroz to se počinju zauzimati i za svoja prava koja su im do tada uvelike uskraćivana.
Abstract (english)
The First World War represents a major turning point in woman's struggle for their rights. Although not directly, through numerous events, the war changed the role of women in society. Women were given the opportunity to participate both in social life and in military endeavors, and most importantly, women were given the opportunity to work in those workplaces where they had not been given the opportunity to work until then because these occupations were exclusively reserved for men. Women are starting to find themselves in military occupations, depending on the possibilities in individual countries. Depending on the level of development of a particular society at that time, womens slowly assumed a leading role both in their households and in maintaining balance in the economy, and through this they began to stand up for their rights, which were largely denied to them until then.
