Abstract
Završni rad bavi se problematikom obiteljskog nasilja nad osobama starije životne dobi te obuhvaća razmatranje različitih oblika nasilja, razloge za njegovu pojavu, posljedice koje proizlaze iz toga te analizu prisutnosti nasilja u povijesnom kontekstu. U tom smislu, specificira se i ističe obiteljsko nasilje nad osobama starije životne dobi kao složen, javnozdravstven i psihosocijalan problem koji nije suvremeno niti revolucionarno percipiran, već onaj koji egzistira od davne 1970. godine kada se počela razvijati svijest o nasilju nad osobama starije životne dobi kao kršenje ljudskih prava. Cilj ovog rada jest proširiti spoznaje o obiteljskom nasilju te njegovoj sveobuhvatnosti specifičnog sustava; osoba starije životne dobi. Svrha ovog rada jest i uvid u pravni okvir navedene tematike, u povijesni pregled kao i u epidemiološke podatke koji donose brojčane dokaze o nasilju nad osobama starije životne dobi, o najčešćim počiniteljima, o karakteristikama žrtava starije životne dobi te koje pridonose zaključku kako je zapravo problematika obiteljskog nasilja nad osobama starije životne dobi nedovoljno istraženo područje.
Abstract (english)
The final paper deals with the issue of domestic violence against elderly people and includes the consideration of different forms of violence, the reasons for its occurrence, the consequences resulting from it, and the analysis of the presence of violence in a historical context. In this sense, domestic violence against the elderly is specified and highlighted as a complex, public health and psychosocial problem that is not perceived in a contemporary or revolutionary way, but one that has existed since the 1970s, when awareness of violence against the elderly began to develop. as a violation of human rights. The aim of this paper is to expand knowledge about domestic violence and its comprehensiveness in a specific system; an elderly person. The purpose of this paper is to provide an insight into the legal framework of the mentioned topic, into a historical review as well as into epidemiological data that provide numerical evidence of violence against elderly people, of the most common perpetrators, of the characteristics of elderly victims, and which contribute to the conclusion that the problem of family violence is actually violence against the elderly which is an insufficiently researched area.
