Abstract
Pranje novca obuhvaća postupke kojima se želi prikriti nezakonito podrijetlo novca, kako bi se taj novac mogao dalje ubaciti u financijske tokove i uložiti u legalne poslove. Ovaj problem danas poprima sve veći razmjer. Na globalnom planu, ovo je jedno od najraširenijh kaznenih djela. Uz pranje novca, usko se veže i financiranje terorizma. Kako bi se suzbilo i spriječilo pranje novca, doneseni su mnogi normativni akti na međunarodnoj razini. Naravno, svaka država u svojim nacionalnim zakonodavstvima ima normativni okvir predviđen za ovo područje. U Republici Hrvatskoj najvažniji pravni propis iz ovog područja je Zakon o sprječavanju pranja novca i financiranju terorizma. Važnu ulogu u domaćem pravnom sustavu ima Ured za sprječavanje pranja novca.
Abstract (english)
Money laundering involves procedures aimed at concealing the illegal origin of money, so that the money can be further injected into financial flows and investing in legal affairs. This problem has an increasing scale. Globally, this is one of the most widespread crimes. In addition to money laundering, terrorist financing is closely linked. In order to supress and prevent money laundering, many normative acts have been adopted at the international level. Of course, each state in it's national legislation has a normative framework provided for this area. in the Republic of Croatia, the most important legal regulation in this area is the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing. The Office for the Prevention of Money Laundering plays an important role in the domestic legal system.
