Abstract
Treća Francuska Republika predstavlja republikanski oblik vlasti u Francuskoj koji je djelovao od raspada Drugog Francuskog Carstva 1870. do 1940. godine i njemačke okupacije Francuske u Drugom svjetskom ratu. Nakon sloma Drugog Francuskog Carstva pred pruskom vojskom u Francusko-pruskom ratu, narod je u Parizu provalio u Skupštinu i klicao republici. U Gradskoj vijećnici proglašena je republika. Ustavom iz 1875. uspostavljena je institucija Treće Republike koja je bila prva parlamentarna republika u francuskoj povijesti. Po tom ustavu, zakonodavno tijelo sastojalo se od dva doma, skupštine i senata. Izvršna vlast je bila u obliku parlamentarne vlade. Sastojala se od dva dijela. Jedan dio je bio predsjednik Republike, drugi dio izvršena vlasti bila je vlada. Predsjednik je bio stalan, pravno, ali ne i politički odgovoran, kao takav je bio nositelj izvršne vlasti, a vlada je bila nestalna, politički odgovorna pred zakonodavnim domovima, stoga je bila politički nositelj izvršne vlasti. Za vrijeme trajanja Treće Republike donesen je samo jedan Ustav. Taj Ustav je imao četiri dopune i izmjene, od kojih ga je samo jedna izmijenila.
Abstract (english)
The Third French Republic is a republican form of government in France that operated from the collapse of the Second French Empire in 1870 to 1940 and the German occupation of France in World War II. After the collapse of the Second French Empire before the Prussian army in the Franco-Prussian War, the people in Paris invaded the Assembly and shouted to the republic. A Republic was proclaimed at City Hall. The constitution of 1875 established the institution of the Third Republic, which was the first parliamentary republic in French history. Under that constitution, the legislature consisted of two chambers, an assembly and a senate. The executive took the form of a parliamentary government. It consisted of two parts. One part was the President of the Republic, the other part was the government. The president was permanent, legally, but not politically responsible, as such he held the executive power, and the government was volatile, politically accountable to legislative chambers, and therefore was the political executive power. During the Third Republic, only one Constitution was adopted. That constitution had four amendments, only one of which amended it.
