The Register of the Public Sector Employees is a database containing the information on the employed people in the public services sector. It is functions for the purpose of quality, efficient and rational system of centralized payroll administration and human resources management.The Register is kept in an electronic form and, based on the decree of the Government of the Republic of Croatia issued on June 10th 2010, the establishment and management of the Register is relegated to the Croatian Financial Agency. Alongside the Register, a collection of documents (personal dossiers) is kept for the purpose of registering new members in the Register.This paper elaborates the operating mode of The Register of the Employees in Public Sector of the Department of Human Resources of the health institution, the access and the rights of the staff authorized to work on the application, the content of data which is entered and related to the institution, employees, file management, reports that can be created and written based on the data in The Register, and the cooperation between the Department of Human Resources and the Department of Accounting and Finances.The Department of Accounting and Finances takes the data entered in The Register by the employees of the Department of Human Resources, which then leads to the pay-out of salaries to the employees of the Hospital. This paper emphasizes the importance of such a Register and the perks for the employer in easier and more efficient management of human resources and for increased efficiency and development, alongside saving time, money and resources.
