Abstract
Oštećena cestovna infrastruktura, kao čimbenik, zauzima određeni postotak sveukupnog broja prometnih nesreća, koje se događaju na našim prometnicima, bez obzira na posljedice prometne nesreće. Nadalje, bez obzira je li nastala prometna nesreća s materijalnom štetom, prometna nesreća s ozlijeđenom osobom ili prometna nesreća s poginulom osobom. Iako je ta brojka neprimjetna u odnosu na sveukupan broj prometnih nesreća, koje su prouzrokovali drugi čimbenici, dužnost je nadležnih institucija da se cestovna infrastruktura dovede na najbolju moguću razinu jer ćemo time uvelike utjecati na spašavanje ljudskih života i imovine. Potrebno je ulagati u postojeću cestovnu infrastrukturu, ali i raditi na izgradnji nove, modernije cestovne infrastrukture. Također, bitno je poznavati crne točke ili opasna mjesta na našim prometnicama, odnosno mjesta na kojima se, u periodu od četiri godine, dogodio veliki broj prometnih nesreća te utvrditi je li cesta uzrok istih. Ako pak cesta jest uzrok prometnih nesreća, potrebno je utvrditi nedostatke te ih u što kraćem roku ukloniti, kako ne bi došlo do novih štetnih posljedica.
Abstract (english)
Damaged road infrastructure, as a factor, takes up a certain percentage of the overall number of traffic accidents occurring on our roads, regardless of the consequences of a traffic accident, i.e.regardless of whether a traffic accident resulted in material damage, injuries or deaths. Although this figure is negligible compared to the overall number of traffic accidents caused by other factors, it is the duty of competent institutions to upgrade the road infrastructure to its optimum level, as this will help save both lives and property. Investments need to be made into the existing road infrastructure, while at the same time building new, modern one. Furthermore, it is crucial to know the blackspots or high-risk locations on our roads, i.e. the places where a large number of traffic accidents occurred in a four-year period, and to establish if the road as a factor was the cause of such accidents. If the answer is positive, deficiencies need to be identified and eliminated as soon as possible so as to prevent new detrimental consequences.
