Most marriages are stable at the beginning, but over time, because of various influential factors and processes and different difficult living conditions, marital quality decreases and turns into an unstable marital union leading to divorce. Divorce itself has a negative effect on both the parents and the child, but in the long run, the relationship of intolerance between the parents during the marriage has a more detrimental effect on the child. Children often think that they are the cause of everything that happens around them, so they conclude that they are the culprits for the fight and the departure of one of their parents. Consequently, the child may have a number of negative consequences for witnessing parental conflicts, but the situation can be significantly worse if the child becomes an accomplice. Most experts are not focus on studying the beginnings and development of marital instability, but they mostly observe the consequences of divorce on spouses and especially on children. The aim of this is to analyze the issue of high-conflict divorces and the impact of parental conflicts on the child and to connect these phenomena with the social work profession through interventions and possible contribution to further progress in order to reduce the incidence and prevalence of these phenomena.
