Abstract
Vijeće Europske unije, tijelo je koje se sastoji od svih ministara država članica Europske unije. Vijeće Europske unije raspravlja o pitanjima Unije, priprema odluke i neobvezujuće preporuke, donosi zakonodavstvo Europske unije te koordinira politike Europske unije. U svojem djelokrugu donosi odluke običnom većinom, kvalificiranom većinom ili jednoglasno, koje zavisi o temi o kojoj se raspravlja na sastancima. Sjedište Vijeća Europske unije nalazi se u Bruxellesu i Luxembourgu. Svakih šest... More mjeseci, odlukom i redoslijedom Vijeća, mijenja se predsjedništvo Vijećem kojim predsjeda predstavnik one države članice koji presjeda Unijom, osim u slučaju Vijeća za vanjske poslove. Tijekom šestomjesečnog razdoblja, predsjedništvo predsjeda sastancima na svim razinama i tako pomaže osigurati kontinuitet rada Europske unije u Vijeću. Abstract (english)
The Council of the European Union is a body made up of all the ministers of the member states of the European Union. The Council of the European Union discusses Union issues, prepares decisions and non-binding recommendations, adopts European Union legislation and coordinates European Union policies. Within its scope, it makes decisions by a simple majority, qualified majority or unanimity, depending on the topic being discussed at the meetings. The seat of the Council of the European... More Union is located in Brussels and Luxembourg. Every six months, by decision and order of the Council, the Presidency shall change the Council chaired by the representative of the Member State holding the Presidency of the Union, except in the case of the Foreign Affairs Council. During the six-month period, the Presidency chairs meetings at all levels, thus helping to ensure the continuity of the European Union's work in the Council. Namely, the presidency of the Council operates in a system of groups of three Member States, which is called a "trio" for a period of 18 months.
