Abstract
Cilj rada je analizirati pravnu zaštitu prava djece u Europskoj uniji. Prava djece direktno ili indirektno regulirana na razini Europske unije sadržana su prije svega u Lisabonskom ugovoru i Povelji Europske unije o temeljnim pravima. Zaštitu prava djece u Europskoj uniji osigurava i Sud Europske unije kroz sudsku zaštitu. Europska unija donijela je određene uredbe kojima se također štite prava djece, premda je prethodno Haška konferencija o međunarodnom privatnom pravu donijela nekoliko konvencija za zaštitu istih prava djece. Europske uredbe i haške konvencije, iako propisuju sličnu ili istu zaštitu određenih prava djece, ipak imaju razlike na koje će se ukazati u ovom radu. Ono što im je sigurno zajedničko to je njihova uloga u usmjeravanju razvoja europskog prava prema zaštiti prava djece na europskom prostoru.
Abstract (english)
The objective of the thesis is analysis of children’s rights in the European Union. Children’s rights at the level of the European Union are directly or indirectly regulated by the Treaty of Lisbon and the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. As regards case-law, the Court of the European Union ensures protection of children’s rights in the European Union. The European Union has implemented certain regulations which protect children’s rights, although the Hague Conference on Private International Law had previously developed Hague Conventions regarding protection of children’s rights. European regulations and Hague Conventions, while providing for the protection of the same or similar rights, differ in areas which will be pointed out in this thesis. Their common feature is their role in steering the development of European legislation towards protection of children’s rights in Europe.
