Abstract
U prvom dijelu ovog diplomskog rada analizirat ću kako su pojedini elementi izbornog sustava (biračko pravo, popisi birača, izborne jedinice, kandidiranje, utvrđivanje izbornih rezultata i nadzor nad izbornim procesom) uređeni u Republici Hrvatskoj. Temeljni problem izbornog sustava počiva u nejednakosti izbornih jedinica, odnosno nejednakoj težini biračkog glasa. U drugom dijelu sažeto ću analizirati izbore zastupnika u Hrvatski sabor, izbore za članove u Europski parlament iz Republike Hrvatske, Izbore za Predsjednika Republike Hrvatske, lokalne izbore te izbore za članove vijeća i predstavnike nacionalnih manjina.
Abstract (english)
In the first part of this thesis, I will analyze how certain elements of the electoral system (electoral law, voter lists, electoral districts, candidacy, determination of election results and supervision over the electoral process) are regulated in the Republic of Croatia. The fundamental problem of the electoral system lies in the inequality of electoral districts that leads to the unequal weight of votes. In the second part, I will briefly analyze the elections for members of the Croatian Parliament, the elections for members of the European Parliament, the elections for the President of the Republic of Croatia, the local elections, and the elections for council members and representatives of national minorities.
