Abstract
Ovim radom prikazuje se kako cestovna infrastruktura utječe na cjelokupni razvoj Republike Hrvatske. U radu se analizira utjecaj gospodarstva i turizma koji uvelike pridonose razvoju države ali i zahtjeva ulaganja u cestovnu prometnu infrastrukturu. Hrvatska kao članica Europske unije dužna je poboljšati kvalitetu postojeće prometne infrastrukture kao i dovršiti transeuropsku mrežu, budući ima povoljan geoprometni položaj koji ima veliku ulogu u europskom prometnom sustavu. U sklopu nove Strategije prometnog razvoja Republike Hrvatske navode se mjere koje je potrebno poduzet za poboljšanje cestovnog promet u RH.
Abstract (english)
This paper shows how road infrastructure affects the overall development of the Republic of Croatia. The paper analyzes the impact of the economy and tourism, which greatly contribute to the development of the country, but also requires investment in road transport infrastructure. Croatia, as a member of the European Union, is obliged to improve the quality of the existing transport infrastructure as well as to complete the trans-European network, since it has a favorable geo-transport position which plays a large role in the European transport system. Within the new Transport Development Strategy of the Republic of Croatia, the measures needed to improve road transport in the Republic of Croatia are outlined.
