Abstract
Ovaj završni rad sadržava informacije o sustavu automatskog praćenja vozila (AVL) unutar informacijskog sustava MUP-a. Uvidom u dostupnu literaturu na raznim internetskim stranicama, opisuje se u postupni razvoj uređaja i tehnologije koji omogućuju korištenje sustava za automatsko praćenje vozila. Prvi dio završnog rada opisuje osmišljavanje i izgradnju prvog takvog sustava, a zatim slijedi opisivanje i način rada GPS (Global Positioning System) sustava bez kojega bi precizno lociranje bilo nemoguće, a sustav neupotrebljiv. Opisuje se prelazak sa starih analognih u digitalne radioveze i stvaranje suvremenih TETRA radioveza. Rad završava opisom načina na koji se automatski sustav za lociranje vozila upotrebljava u radu operativno-komunikacijskih centara (OKCP) i policijskih službenika na zaštiti državne granice u obavljanju svojih svakodnevnih zadaća.
Abstract (english)
The final paper contains information about Automatic Vehicle Location system (AVL) within Croatian Ministry of Interior information system. Tthe gradual development of devices and technology which enables the use of Automatic Vehicle Location System was described, using available online resources. The first part of the paper describes the initial ideas and development of the system. The description and operating way of the Global Positioning System is then explained, Its importance lies in the precise location which enables the Automatic Vehicle System. It is followed by a description of transition from old analogue into digital radio systems and creation of modern TETRA radios. The paper ends with a description of Automatic Vehicle System being used in communications centres and by police officers on green borders in performing their daily duties.
