Abstract
Predmet ovog rada je istražiti zbivanja 1848. godine u vrijeme revolucija u europskim zemljama. Cilj revolucije je bio promjena političkog sustava, rat za narodno oslobođenje, borba za narodno i državno jedinstvo te promjena društvenih ciljeva europskih zemalja. Hrvatska je također bila dio te revolucije i nastojala afirmirati neke nove nacionalne i građansko-modernizacijske ideje u društvu i to prvenstveno na kulturnom, a kasnije i na političkom i privrednom planu koje je izložila u političkoj peticiji Zahtijevanja naroda. Iako su od svih točaka peticije povoljno bile riješene samo dvije točke ovaj proglas predstavljao je veliki napredak. Prvi put donesen je nacionalni program u ime cjelokupnog hrvatskog naroda, koji se bori za svoje kulturno i nacionalno-političko konstituiranje, za oslobođenje i postizanje kulturne, političke, državne i ekonomske samostalnosti i nezavisnosti.
Abstract (english)
The subject of this master's thesis is the exploration of the events in 1848 in times of revolution in European countries. The goal of the revolution was the change of the political system, the war for national liberation, the struggle for national and state unity, and the change in the social goals of European countries. Croatia was also a part of that revolution and sought to affirm some new national and civic-modernization ideas in society, primarily in regard to the cultural and later the political and economic agenda it presented in the political petition of the Demands of the Nation. Although only two points of the petition were resolved, this decree meant great progress. For the first time, a national program was adopted on behalf of the entire Croatian nation, which was fighting for its cultural and national political constitution, for the liberation and the achievement of cultural, political, state and economic autonomy and independence.
