Abstract
Kroz povijest postojala je potreba za čuvanjem određene građe koja je bila od posebne važnosti. Zato su ljudi kroz određena povijesna razdoblja sakupljali predmete te ih pohranjivali u posebne prostorije u kojima su se čuvali. Prikazuje se kroz povijest način čuvanja građe od stare Mezopotamije, Egipta, Bizanta, Atene, Bliskog istoka, starog Rima pa do Francuske revolucije. Tek oko 16. stoljeća prvi put se uvodi sam pojam arhivistika. Pokušao se pronaći sistem kako bi se što lakše mogli snalaziti u pronalasku arhivske građe. Do 19. stoljeća institucije su same vodile brigu o čuvanju pisane dokumentacije, nakon toga se javlja potreba o zajedničkome čuvanju arhivske građe u koji se uključuju arhivska služba i sami stvaraoci arhivske građe. Kako bi se uveo red u slaganje građe, pojavljuju se pojmovi načelo provenijencije i načelo pertinencije koji označavaju način preslagivanja i pohrane arhivske građe u arhivima. Hrvatska po pitanju arhiva bitno zaostaje od ostalih Europskih država, nije ažurno slijedila tokove koje su slijedile ostale države. Što se odnosi na sam pojam zaštite arhiva, razvoja arhiva, arhivske mreže kao mreže ustanova. Također i Hrvatska ima određeni tijek razvoja arhiva kroz povijest pa se tu posebno mogu naglasiti arhiv Dubrovačke Republike, arhiv Zagrebačkog Kaptola te sadašnji državni arhiv u Zagrebu.
Abstract (english)
Through the history there was a need for keeping certain material that was of special importance. That is why people have collected objects through certain historical periods and stored them in special rooms where they were kept. It moves from the history of ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, Byzantine, Athens, Middle East, Old Rome and the French Revolution. Around 16th century archivistics is introduced for the first time. They tried to find a system how easier collect material. Until 19th century some institutions take care for themself how to keep certain written documents, after that there is a need for a common care for some archive material. It is including archival service and creators of archive material. There are bring order into the composition of the material, the concepts of principle of provenance and principle of pertinence that signify the method of storing archive material in archives. Croatia is far behind from other European countries because it did not follow some process like other countries. It is implied on protection of archives, the development of archives, the archive network. Croatia has also certain historical like archives of the Dubrovnik Republic, the Zagreb Capitol archive and the current state archive in Zagreb.
