Abstract
Konzumacija alkohola širom je raširena te je sve izraženija pojava među adolescentima. Alkohol se smatra jednom vrstom droge, a za one mlađe od 18 jest ilegalna droga. Ako se uzima u ranoj dobi alkohol može izazvati trajne posljedice jer utječe na sposobnost opažanja realnosti i na sposobnost donošenja odluka. Za djecu je konzumacija alkohola iznimno opasna. Mladi sve ranije počinju konzumirati alkohol te se iz tog razloga konzumiranje alkoholnih pića smatra društvenim problemom. Mladi piju iz mnogih razloga koji ovise o društvenim i osobnim okolnostima. Za piće se odlučuju zbog želje da budu drugačiji, iz dosade, zbog znatiželje i dokazivanja te zbog vjerovanja da će se nakon pića osjećati bolje. Prekomjerna konzumacija alkohola kod mladih može dovesti do narušavanja obiteljskih i prijateljskih odnosa. Mladoj osobi može stvoriti probleme na fakultetu ili u školi. Pružanje pomoći mladoj osobi može biti osigurana u bolničkom i izvanbolničkom tretmanu. Mladu osobu je potrebno upoznati o štetnosti alkohola i o mogućim posljedicama. U slučaju liječenja od ovisnosti mladoj osobi mogu pomoći škola, obitelj i socijalni radnik. Za učinkovito liječenje najvažnija je motivacija kod mlade osobe za liječenjem od ovisnosti o alkoholu.
Abstract (english)
Alcohol consumption is widespread and is an increasingly dominant phenomenon among adolescents. Alcohol is considered a type of drug and, for those under 18, it is an illegal drug. If taken at an early age, alcohol can cause permanent consequences because it affects the ability to perceive reality and the ability to make decisions. For children alcohol consumption is extremely dangerous. Young people start consuming alcohol earlier and earlier, and for this reason, the consumption of alcoholic beverages is considered a social problem. Young people drink for many reasons that depend on social and personal circumstances. They decide to drink because they want to be different, out of boredom, out of curiosity and to prove themselves and because they believe that they will feel better after drinking. Excessive alcohol consumption by young people can lead to disruption of family and friendship relationships. It can create problems for a young person at college or school. Assistance to a young person can be provided in hospital and out of hospital. It is necessary to inform the young person about the harmfulness of alcohol and about the possible consequences. In case of addiction treatment, the school, family, and the social worker can help the young person. For effective treatment, the most important thing is the motivation of a young person for alcohol addiction treatment.
