Abstract
Ako neka tema seže duboko u ljudsku povijest, onda je to tema prava životinja. Kroz vrijeme ona se oblikovala kroz filozofske, religijske i pravne prizme. Kako se odnos prema životinjama mijenjao s vremenom, njihovo priznavanje prava i zaštita istih, prolaze kroz različite faze koje svjedoče ne samo o razvoju ljudskog razmišljanja, nego i o suosjećanju prema svim oblicima života. Iako životinje u prošlosti nisu imale ni približno prava koliko danas imaju, i dalje postoji mjesta za napredak. Kroz ovu analizu, rad naglašava kontinuirani napredak u razumijevanju i zaštiti prava životinja. Dok su se životinje nekada smatrale resursima bez prava, danas se postavlja sve veći naglasak na potrebu zaštite njihovih prava i dobrobiti. Ovaj rad ističe važnost daljnjeg razvoja pravnih okvira i podizanja svijesti kako bi se osigurao pravedniji i suosjećajniji svijet za sve životinje.
Abstract (english)
If any topic reaches deep into human history, it is the subject of animal rights. Over time, it has taken shape through philosophical, religious, and legal lenses. As attitudes toward animals have evolved, their recognition of rights and protection has gone through various phases, bearing witness not only to the development of human thinking but also to compassion for all forms of life. While animals in the past had nowhere near the rights they have today, there is still room for progress. Through this analysis, the paper emphasizes the ongoing advancement in understanding and safeguarding animal rights. Whereas animals were once considered resource commodities without rights, there is now a growing emphasis on the need to protect their rights and welfare. This paper underscores the importance of further developing legal frameworks and raising awareness to ensure a fairer and more compassionate world for all animals.
