Abstract
Suradnja između konja i čovjeka je oblik partnerstva koji treba sadržavati isto razinu poštovanja jedno prema drugome. U većini slučajeva konj voli surađivati sa čovjekom ali u pojedinim slučajevima čovjek može zaboraviti na to i svojim postupcima zanemariti konja i njegovu dobrobit pod pritiskom sporta i novca. Unutar posljednjeg desetljeća dobrobit i zaštita konja je doživjela značajan napredak. Uz napredak sporta napredovala je i svjesnost ljudi koji nisu upućeni u sport. Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) je organizacija koja je objedinila sve dijelove konjičkoga sporta i pomoću svojih pravila regulira dobrobit i zaštitu natjecateljskih konja. Osim na polju preponskoga sporta FEI djeluje i na discipline dresure, eventinga, enduranca, vožnje zaprega i voltažiranje. Trenutno ne postoji bolji skup pravila koji regulira dobrobit konja.
Abstract (english)
The cooperation between horse and man is a form of partnership that should contain the same level of respect for each other. In most cases, the horse likes to cooperate with the man, but in some cases the man can forget about it and with his actions ignore the horse and its well-being under the pressure of sport and money. Within the last decade, the welfare and protection of horses has seen significant progress. Along with the progress of sports, the awareness of people who are not familiar with sports has also progressed. The Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) is an organization that has united all parts of equestrian sport and regulates the welfare and protection of competition horses through its rules. In addition to the field of show jumping, the FEI also works in the disciplines of dressage, eventing, endurance, team driving and vaulting. There is currently no better set of rules governing horse welfare.
