Abstract
Institut posvojenja predstavlja poseban oblik zaštite djece bez odgovarajuće roditeljske skrbi. Postupkom zasnivanja posvojenja nastaje trajni neraskidivi odnos između posvojitelja i posvojenika, a prestaju sva međusobna prava i dužnosti koje je posvojenik imao sa biološkim roditeljima. Hrvatski zavod za socijalni rad ima važnu ulogu tijekom postupka zasnivanja posvojenja, uključen je u pokretanje postupka posvojenja, ocjenjuje prikladnost i podobnost potencijalnih posvojitelja, upisuje ih u registar posvojitelja te nakon zasnivanja posvojenja donosi rješenje o posvojenju. Kako bi postupak zasnivanja posvojenja mogao započeti, potencijalni posvojitelji i dijete moraju imati ispunjene određene pretpostavke za posvojenje koje su propisane Obiteljskim zakonom. Posvojenje proizvodi pravne učinke među kojima je najvažnije stvaranje pravnog odnosa roditelja i djeteta. Rad će analizirati statističke podatke u vezi s posvojenjem u razdoblju od 2017. godine do 2022. godine.
Abstract (english)
The adoption institute represents a special form of protection for children without adequate parental care. The process of establishing an adoption establishes a permanent, inseparable relationship between the adoptive parent and the adopted child, and all mutual rights and duties that the adopted child had with the biological parents cease. The Croatian Institute for Social Work plays an important role during the adoption process, it is involved in the initiation of the adoption process, evaluates the suitability and eligibility of potential adopters, enters them into the register of adopters, and after the adoption is established, issues a decision on adoption. In order for the adoption procedure to begin, the potential adoptive aprent and the child must meet certain prerequisites for adoption, which are prescribed by the Family Law. Adoption produces legal effects, the most important of which is the creation of a legal relationship between adoptive parent and adoptive child. The paper will analyze statistical data related to adoption in the period from 2017 to 2022.
