Abstract
Alkohol kao psihoaktivna supstanca utječe na psihološke funkcije i na organski sustav čovjeka te kada se konzumira ima izrazito jak toksični i farmakološki učinak. Ovisnost o alkoholu je progresivna bolest, a osim navedenog, ona je i smrtonosna. Alkoholizam je socijalni i medicinski problem. Bolest ovisnosti o alkoholu pripada najtežim socijalno ovisničkim problemima iz razloga što pogađa sve članove obitelji u kojima je prisutan alkoholičar. Liječenje osobe ovisne o alkoholu ovisi o tome koliko je visok stupanj bolesti, pa samim time postoje i različiti pristupi u liječenju.
Abstract (english)
Alcohol, as a psychoactive substance, affects psychological functions and the human organic system, and when consumed, it has an extremely strong toxic and pharmacological effect. Alcohol addiction is a progressive disease, and apart from the above, it is also deadly. Alcoholism is a social and medical problem. The disease of alcohol addiction belongs to the most difficult social addiction problems because it affects all family members in which an alcoholic is present. The treatment of a person addicted to alcohol depends on how high the degree of the disease is and there are different approaches to treatment.
