Abstract
Prava djece su ujedno i ljudska prava. U povijesti Europske unije, prava djece nisu bila naročito zastupljena. U zadnjih nekoliko desetljeća napravljen je veliki iskorak u pogledu promicanja, zaštite i unapređenja prava djece u Europskoj uniji, ali i svijetu. Međunarodna organizacija poput Europske unije pruža brojne prednosti po pitanju promicanja i zaštite prava djece, od njenog značajnog utjecaja na veliki broj država pa sve do izdašnih izvora financiranja. Europska unija ima brojna tijela koja se s raznih stajališta bave pitanjem dječjih prava. Napori koje Europska unija ulaže u promicanje i zaštitu prava djece vidljiv je i kroz broj pravnih dokumenata kojima se uređuju različite kategorije prava djece.
Abstract (english)
Children's rights are also human rights. In the history of the European Union, children's rights were not particularly represented. In the last few decades, a great step forward has been made in terms of promoting, protecting and improving the rights of children in the European Union, as well as in the world. An international organization like the European Union offers numerous advantages in terms of promoting and protecting children's rights, ranging from its significant influence on a large number of countries to generous sources of funding. The European Union has numerous insitutions that deal with the issue of children's rights from various points of view. The efforts that the European Union invests in the promotion and protection of children's rights are also visible through the vast number of legal documents regulating different categories of children's rights.
