Abstract
Biti dio obitelji, a tako i postati roditeljem, većini je ljudi jedna od najvažnijih uloga u kojima se nalaze tijekom svog života. Stres je također sastavni dio obiteljskog života, a osobito života roditelja. Kroz Bronfenbrennerovu teoriju ekoloških sustava moguće lakše shvatiti na koji način se učinci stresa na roditelje mogu umanjiti. Također postoje mnoge karakteristike koje mogu umanjiti ili uvećati količinu stresa te je vrlo korisno proučiti te karakteristike kako bi se na njih moglo utjecati. Majke i očevi tijekom različitih faza obiteljskog života prolaze kroz različita stresna razdoblja, a jedno od izazovnijih razdoblja jest razdoblje u kojemu su djeca adolescenti. Roditeljski stres je također vidljiv u obiteljima s djecom s teškoćama u razvoju.
Abstract (english)
Being part of a family, and thus becoming a parent, is for most people one of the most important roles they find themselves in during their lifetime. Stress is also an integral part of family life, especially the life of parents. Through Bronfenbrenner's theory of ecological systems, it is possible to understand more easily how the effects of stress on parents can be reduced. There are also many characteristics that can reduce or increase the amount of stress, and it is very useful to study the characteristics in order to influence them. Mothers and fathers go through different stressful periods during different stages of family life, and one of the more challenging periods is the period in which children are adolescents. Parental stress is also visible in families with children with developmental disabilities.
