Abstract
Svako dijete ima pravo na život sa svojom primarnom obitelji u zdravom i prirodnom okruženju koje će biti usmjereno na pozitivan rast i razvoj djeteta. Ukoliko je ugrožena djetetova sigurnost, život i zdravlje unutar primarne obitelji, dolazi do njegova izdvajanja te se traži adekvatan smještaj u udomiteljskoj obitelji. Dijete će imati priliku osjećati ponovnu sigurnost, razvijati emocionalne odnose s članovima svoje udomiteljske obitelji te učiti o temeljnim vrijednostima obiteljskog života. Djetetu je u udomiteljskoj obitelji i dalje važna njegova primarna obitelj. Uloga socijalnog radnika je naglašavati važnost održavanja kontakta djeteta s njegovom primarnom obitelji i značajnim drugim osobama u djetetovom živote te slušati glas djeteta. Cilj završnog rada na temelju pregleda teorijskog okvira je prikazati ulogu ostvarivanja kontakta udomljenog djeteta s njegovom primarnom obitelji, kako bi se održala sigurna privrženost i osnažio odnos roditelj-dijete. Potrebno je osvijestiti zajednicu, buduće potencijalne udomitelje, roditelje te socijalne radnike o važnosti održavanja odnosa između djeteta i njegove primarne obitelji te djetetovih značajnih drugih, koji predstavljaju iznimno ključnu ulogu u životu i razvoju djeteta. Rezultati pokazuju da ostvarivanje kontakta i posjeti mogu biti emocionalno potresni i uznemirujući za udomljeno dijete, ukoliko je u svojoj primarnoj obitelji doživjelo zlostavljanje, zanemarivanje ili bilo koji drugi oblik nasilja. Sukladno tome, dijete ima vrlo rijetke ili čak nepostojeće kontakte s primarnom obitelji. Međutim, rezultati su također utvrdili da udomljena djeca imaju potrebu za ostvarivanjem kontakta te pridaju važnost primarnoj obitelji i značajnim drugima u djetetovom životu. Samim time, ostvarivanje kontakta s primarnom obitelji je u međusobnoj korelaciji s pozitivnim reakcijama koje utječu na emocionalni i bihevioralni razvoj djeteta.
Abstract (english)
Every child has a right to grow up and to live a healthy and a wealthy life in a surrounding supporting its growth and development. If the child's safety, life and health are by any chance endangered while living with its primary family the following procedure implies removing the child from the family and allowing it a safer accomodation among foster family. There the child will have the opportunity to feel safe, develope healthy emotional relationships and learn fundamental family values. For a child in a foster family, his primary family is still important. The role of the social worker emphasizes the importance of maintaining contact with the child's primary family and significant other people in the child's life and listening to the child's voice. The goal of this final paper is to hightlight the importance of maintaining a continous contact between a fostered child and its primary family due to it enableing a style of secure attachment and strenghtening child-parent relationship. By writing the paper, the aim is to also rise awareness among the community, potential futures fosters, parents and social workers, which represent an extremely key role in the child's life and development. The paper presents results that show that contact and visits can be emotionally upsetting and disturbing for a foster child, if he has experienced abuse, neglect or any other form of violence in his primary family. Accordingly, the child has very rare or even non-existent contact with the primary family. However, the results also established that foster children have a need for contact and attach importance to the primary family and significant others in the child's life. Therefore, establishing contact with the primary family is correlated with positive reactions that affect the emotional and behavioral development of the child.
