Abstract
Pružanje pomoći, jedan od glavnih i bitnijih ciljeva socijalne politike, dio je života svakog pojedinca građanina koji je socijalno ugrožen te se nalazi u nepovoljnim osobnim, obiteljskim okolnostima ili mu je potrebna pomoć zbog npr. invalidnosti, bolesti, starosti, ovisnosti, sa svrhom kako bi unaprijedio svoju kvalitetu života, zadovoljio osnovne životne potrebe i svojom aktivnošću uključio se u društvu. Svrhaovog rada je prikazati sustav socijalne skrbi u Republici Hrvatskoj, istaknuti temeljne pojmove socijalne politike s posebnim osvrtom na ustanove socijalne skrbi te njihov djelokrug rada. Posebna pažnja posvećena je Hrvatskom zavodu za socijalni rad kao ključnoj instituciji u ovome području.
Abstract (english)
Providing assistance, one of the main and more important goals of social policy, is part of the life of every individual citizen who is socially disadvantaged, is in unfavorable personal, family circumstances or needs help due to disability, illness, old age, addiction, purpose to improve their quality of life, meet basic living needs and get involved in society through their activities. The purpose of this paper is to present the social welfare system in the Republic of Croatia, emphasis basic concepts of social policy, with special reference to social welfare institutions and their scope of work. Special attention is paid to the Croatian Institute for Social Work as a key institution in this area.
