Abstract
Pobačaj je jedno od kontroverznih pitanja o kojima se raspravlja diljem svijeta. Sigurnost pobačaja dobro je utvrđena u okruženjima gdje je pobačaj legalan no žene još uvijek posežu za raznim metodama pobačaja zbog pojave stigme pobačaja, nedostatka financijskih sredstava i neuređenosti zakona. Pod sigurnim pobačajem podrazumijeva se medikamentozni i kirurški pobačaj koji je u skladu sa smjernicama Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije. Zdravstveni djelatnici i socijalni radnici imaju veliku ulogu u promicanju zdravlja i obrazovnim metodama u kojima se tema pobačaja susreće, stoga je u ovom radu predstavljena poveznica između prava žena na pobačaj i pružanje brige od strane zdravstvenih djelatnika, socijalnih radnika i društva. Pandemija COVID-19 u nekim zemljama je utjecala na još manju dostupnost izvršenju zahvata pobačaja dok je u drugim zemljama porastao trend telemedicine i veća dostupnost informacija.
Abstract (english)
Abortion is one of the most controversial issues in the world. In countries where abortion is legal, the safety of abortion is well established, but women still resort to various abortion methods due to the stigma of abortion, lack of funding, and irregularities in legislation. A safe abortion is one that is medically and surgically performed in accordance with World Health Organization guidelines. Health professionals and social workers play an important role in health promotion and education methods where the issue of abortion arises. Therefore, this paper makes a connection between women's right to abortion and the care provided by health professionals, social workers, and society. The COVID -19 pandemic has made access to abortion procedures even more difficult in some countries, while in others the trend toward telemedicine and greater availability of information has increased.
