The aim of this work was to investigate the origin, development and functioning of the e-Citizens system, the level of its use and the perspective of system development. The e-Citizens system enables citizens, free of charge, modern, fast and simpler communication with public administration bodies and increasing the transparency of the public sector in providing public services. This system is part of the state information infrastructure and consists of three components: the Central State Portal (SDP), the Personal User Box (OKP) and a National Identification and Authentication System (NIAS). The research was conducted from the perspective of citizens with special emphasis on health services. In order to make e-health services clearer, his work briefly explains the functioning of the health system of the Republic of Croatia. The Ministry of Health has the role of manager of the health care system in Croatia, while the Croatian Institute for Health Insurance is the holder of health insurance in Croatia. These e-health services are analyzed in details, there are listed their potentials, frequency of use, as well as their lacks, and they are: EU digital COVID certificate, Open orders, Realized prescriptions, My EKZO - My costs, Review of the chosen doctor and Health portal.
