Abstract | Arhivistika je skup znanja o arhivskom gradivu i djelatnosti arhiva. S teorijskog pogleda proučava arhivske pojmove, načela i metode rada, povijest arhivistike i njezin odnos prema drugim srodnim znanostima. S druge strane arhivska praska proučava pitanja organizacije rada u arhivima i zaštite arhivskog gradiva izvan arhiva. Navedeni Zakon definira postupanje s arhivskom građom u Republici Hrvatskoj. |
Abstract (english) | Archival science is a set of knowledge about archival material and the activities of archives. The term archival science refers to a science whose basic task is the study of archival material. Archival activities are the retrieval, selection, classification, protection, preservation and making available of archival material to researchers and scientists. Archival science is divided into archival theory, archival practice, archival technique, history of institutions and archival legislation. From a theoretical point of view, it studies, archival concepts, principles and methods of work, the history of archival science and its relationship to other related sciences. On the other hand, the archival explosion studies the issues of the organization of work in archives and the protection of archival material outside archives. Law on Archival Materials and Archives („Narodne novine“ no. 61/18), which has been in force since 01.01.2020. regulates the protection and processing of public documentary and archival material, the availability and use of material in archives, the protection of private archival material, the public archival service and the competencies and activities of archives. The said Act defines the handling of archival material in the Republic of Croatia. In the 21st century, the most important thing is the availability and organization of information. Archivists had to adapt to trends, especially in digital technologies and the information society. This has the effect that archives as information institutions must adapt the material to information usability. Today, every archive must have its own digital database that provides users with quick retrieval of material. |
