Abstract
Postoje različiti oblici diskriminacije, a to su: spolna, dobna, rodna, nacionalna ili etnička, profesionalna i druge. U diplomskom radu analizira se spolna diskriminacija, odnosno jednakost plaća za žene i muškarce na razini Europske unije. Žene su se tijekom povijesti uvijek borile za svoja prava, a da još uvijek postoji nejednakost u plaćanju za isti ili sličan posao koji rade muškarci, jasno se vidi iz nastojanja da Vijeće Europe i Europska komisija smanje taj razmjer. Prvi pisani... More dokumenti i pravni akti o ravnopravnosti spolova sežu u 1957. godinu, kada je Rimskim ugovorom uvedeno načelo isplate jednake plaće za obavljanje istih poslova. Do danas je donesen cijeli niz direktiva i uredbi kojima se nastoji smanjiti jaz razlike u plaćama između žena i muškaraca. U diplomskom radu analizirane su brojne strategije i dokumenti u kojima se aktivno zalaže za ravnopravnost spolova. Ti dokumenti obuhvaćaju Žensku povelju, Strategiju za ravnopravnost spolova između žena i muškaraca (Europski pakt), Strateško djelovanje za ravnopravnost spolova (2016.-2019.) i slično. U RH ovo područje je regulirano ustavnim i zakonskim odredbama, odnosno Ustavom i Zakonom o ravnopravnosti spolova. I u Republici Hrvatskoj i na razini EU još uvijek postoje razlike između plaća žena i muškaraca, a kao razlozi takvog stanja navode se sektorska segregacija, ravnoteža između poslovnog i privatnog života, položaj u hijerarhiji i diskriminacija. Abstract (english)
There are many different forms of discrimination such as: sexual, age, gender, national or ethnic, professional and the like. The thesis analyzes sexual discrimination, respectively pay (in)equality for women and men within the European Union. Despite the long history of women fighting for their rights, the pay inequality for the same or similar job done by men is still everlasting which is clear from the effort that the Council of Europe and the European Commission invest in order to... More reduce this scale. The first written documents and legal acts on gender equality date back to 1957 when the Treaty of Rome introduced the principle of equal pay for performing the same tasks. To this day a number of Directives and Regulations have been adopted to reduce the gender pay gap. The thesis also analyzes numerous strategies and other documents which actively advocate for gender equality. These documents include The Women’s Charter, The EU Gender Equality Strategy (European Pact), The strategic engagement for gender equality (2016-2019), etc. In the Republic of Croatia this area is regulated by constitutional and legal provisions, ie the Constitution and the Gender Equality. There are still differences in Republic of Croatia and at the Union level and the reasons for this state are sectoral segregation, work-life (im)balance, power structure, hierarchical structure and discrimination.
