Abstract
Načelo taliona svoje korijenje vuće iz Hamurabijevog zakonika i njime je ovo načelo dobilo smiso i funkciju. Kroz dugu povijest ovo načelo u višoj i manjoj mjeri primjenjivalo se i u drugim pravnim sustavima. Svoje postojanje tako nije izostalo ni u vjerskim tekstovima najzastupljenijih religija današnjeg svijeta. Na početku je bilo brutalno i nasilno, te se razvojem društva i širim pogledom na kaznu ono promjenilo te prilagodilo društvenim normama i potrebama.
Abstract (english)
The principle of talion has its roots in the Code of Hammurabi, and with it this principle has gained meaning and function. Throughout its long history, this principle has been applied to a greater or lesser extent in other legal systems. Thus, its existence was not absent even in the religious texts of the most represented religions of today's world. At the beginning, it was brutal and violent, but with the development of society and with a broad view of punishment it changed and adjusted to social norms and needs.
