Abstract
U ovome radu se opisuju prava potrošača i kako ih zaštiti. Na početku su definirani pojmovi tko je potrošač, tko je trgovac a što je sami proizvod koji potrošači konzumiraju. Zatim dovodi do pojma zaštita prava potrošača i povijest nastanka ove grane , od konzumerizma pa sve do danas. Rad obuhvaća i politiku zaštite potrošača te načine na koje politika štiti interese potrošača. Također prikazuje zaštitu potrošača u Republici Hrvatskoj putem udruga, Ministarstva gospodarstva, raznih agencija i stupanje na snagu glavnog zakona koji regulira prava potrošača a donesen 2003 . godine kao jedan od uvjeta za ulazak u Europsku uniju a to je Zakon o zaštiti potrošača. Jedan od najvažniji ugovora koji se spominju pri zaštiti potrošača je Rimski ugovor koji prvi puta u povijesti spominje prava potrošača. Zaštita potrošača u početku nije bila samostalan politika nego se razvijala skroz određeni broj stadija. Najznačajnije razdoblje za zaštitu potrošača je stupanje na snagu Ugovora iz Maastrichta 1993 . godine
Abstract (english)
This paper describes consumer rights and how to protect them. Initially, the terms of who is the consumer, who is the retailer and what is the product that consumers consume are defined. It then leads to the notion of consumer protection and the history of this branch, from consumerism to the present day. The paper also covers consumer protection policy and the ways in which policy protects consumer interests. It also illustrates consumer protection in the Republic of Croatia through associations, the Ministry of the Economy, various agencies, and the entry into force of a major law governing consumer rights passed in 2003 as one of the conditions for entry into the European Union, namely the Consumer Protection Act. One of the most important contracts mentioned in consumer protection is the Treaty of Rome, which for the first time in history mentions consumer rights. At first, consumer protection was not a policy in its own right but evolved through a number of stages. The most significant period for consumer protection is the entry into force of the 1993 Maastricht Treaty.
