Abstract
Cilj rada je analiza parlamentarnih izbora u Republici Hrvatskoj, odnosno analiza izbora zastupnika u Hrvatski sabor. Rad započinje istraživanjem i analiziranjem pojma demokracije, izbora i parlamenta. Nakon toga se prikazuje razvoj Hrvatskog sabora i izbora zastupnika u njemu tijekom povijesti, odnosno od 9. stoljeća pa sve do danas. Rad dalje analizira postojeće izborne sustave navodeći prednosti i nedostatke. Središnji dio rada se bavi analizom postojećeg izbornog zakonodavstva u Republici Hrvatskoj, a koji se odnosi na raspisivanje, održavanje i provedbu parlamentarnih izbora, kandidiranje i promidžbu kandidata, utvrđivanje rezultata izbora i na kraju način pravne zaštite izbornoga prava.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this master thesis is the analysis of the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Croatia, that is the analysis of the election of representatives to the Croatian Parliament. The paper starts with the research and analysis of the concept of democracy, the elections and the parliament. Furthermore I give an overview of the development of the Croatian Parliament and the election of its memebrs throughout the history, from the ninth century onwards. Finally, it analyses the existing electoral system indicating its advantages and disadvantages. The main part of the thesis deals with the analysis of the existing electoral legislation in the Republic of Croatia that refers to calling, holding and conducting parliamentary elections, nomination and promotion of candidates, determining the election results and in the end the legal protection of the electoral law.
