Abstract
U ovom radu dat će se pregled važnih instituta u svezi s međunarodnim posvojenjem a ujedno će se razraditi bitan sadržaj Haške konvencije o zaštiti i suradnji u vezi s međudržavnim posvojenjem (U daljnjem tekstu: Konvencija). Kako se pojam međunarodnog posvojenja ne spominje često u Hrvatskoj, razradit će se postupak zasnivanja međudržavnog posvojenja u Hrvatskoj uz primjenu Konvencije te uputa koje je Središnje tijelo objavilo kroz državni profil na stranicama Haške konferencije. Osim toga, pružiti statistički uvid u do sada provedene postupke međunarodnog posvojenja kojih je izrazito malo zbog pomanjkanja interesa te velikog broja kriterija na stranama obiju država.
